Never climb alone again
Our Humble Story

A Star is Born (2016)
Back in 2016, where the outdoor climbing wall at SAFRA Yishun was frequented by climbing regulars, and everyone was excited about the new, air-conditioned kid on the block called Climb Central at Kallang, Jolyn dreamed of having a fun, cutesy climbing chalk bag as a lifelong buddy on her climbs.
Everything about climbing gear was a tad vanilla back then – even the accessories were largely monochrome. Jolyn felt it didn’t quite capture the vibrant climbing community spirit that often led to crazy adventures, good food and lasting friendships around the world.
After spending countless hours on her parent’s vintage and very manual foot-pedal sewing machine – yes, the Singer grandma used to use – she stitched together her first prototype out of old t-shirts before investing in actual fur and fabric to develop several more prototypes.
Meeko, the first plush chalk bag, was born on the white tiles of Jolyn’s parent’s living room floor, surrounded by the mayhem of what they call creation.

The Fellowship Begins (2017)
Jolyn met her now-hubby Mike in the midst of creating Meeko, and after testing his climbing abilities on their second date, decided he might actually be a keeper. Flushed with the post-creation excitement of making Meeko, she decided to craft a little buddy for his February birthday.
Mike has an exceptionally large toe that reminded her of Big Foot. His chalk bag also went through several iterations to become what it is today, a warm-hearted buck-toothed grizzly plushie…with an extra-large toe.

The Adventures Between (2017 – 2023)
As far as record world-travelling plushies go, Meeko and Big Foot have been to over 30 countries, and up the crags almost all of them. They remember the incredible sandbagged routes of Paklenica in Croatia, braving the Patagonian winds in Puerto Ibáñez of Chile and taking in the sweeping views up the multi-pitch route on Mount White in Yukon, Canada.
Many of these years were spent calling different campervans and Meeko and Big Foot survived rain, hail, sand, snow, scorching deserts and freezing mountain air. Jolyn looked at them both and realized they were survivors. She felt guilty at not realizing her initial dream of making these companions for other climbers, who might want a fuzzy minion of their own.
It was time to set the wheels in motion.

Making the Dream (2024)
In a twist of fate, Jolyn finds herself returning to a climbing mecca along the beautiful coastline of British Columbia called Squamish for more than half the year, where she worked to perfect the first of what she hopes is a line of monster buddies for climbers.
After almost a decade of climbing, testing, sewing and designing, the first of the Jugganuts makes its way into the world.
